چکیده

Introduction and Aim: The outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic since December 2019 has raised serious global health concern. Because rapid human to transmission non-availability clinically proven drugs or vaccines, this created a great threat mankind. Many naturally derived molecules are being investigated for the treatment Covid-19. Ocimum americanum is one such significant medicinal plant possessing variety biological activities. Materials Methods: In present study, seven phytochemicals were selected from O. docked against SARS-CoV-2 spike protein which an important site virus enter host cell. Docking was performed using Autodock Vina ADME properties all these ligands predicted Swiss-ADME tool. bioactivity score also Molinspiration Besides secondary metabolites, analyses well-known antiviral namely lopinavir ritonavir. Results: binding energy obtained docking studies with Lopinavir, Ritonavir, Alpha-farnesene, Beta-farnesene, Eugenol, Linalool, Estragole, Limonene 1,8-Cineole found be -5.2, -5.1, -4.7, -4.5, -4.3, -4.1, -4, -3.9 -3.8 Kcal/Mol respectively. results suggest that follow drug likeness hence they could taken further discovery process. Conclusion: From in silico it can concluded metabolites have potential inhibiting activity SARS-CoV-2. Isolation efficacy vitro may provide insight into fight

Antimyogenic Effect of SARS-CoV Spike Protein in C2C12 Myoblasts

C2C12 myoblasts serve as well-established model system to study myogenesis, as they fuse to form multinucleated myotubes. Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS–CoV) spike (S) protein plays a crucial role in viral entry. Exogenous expression of S protein in C2C12 myoblasts inhibits the formation of myotubes. Global changes in gene expression were studied in C2C12 cells expressing S...

Achieving Effective Treatment Goals against New Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) by Identifying the Molecular Details of the Virus Genome

Introduction: We are currently faced with a global epidemic of a new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) that It affects not only thousands of people in China, but all over the world. The rapid increase in cases appears to be related to the active genome of the virus, which may affect its pathogenesis. An understanding of the novel coronavirus genomic organization will help us in understanding their origi...

A Brief Review on the Advancement of the Molecular and Serological Diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2

The novel coronavirus, severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) has introduced as causative agent for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) since the 2019 December. Human coronaviruses are classified in Nidovirales order and Coronavirdiae family. This family includes four genera. The SARS-CoV-2 is a member of Betacoronavirus genera and Sarbecovirus linage (linage B). There is ...

Molecular docking studies of withanolides against Cox-2 enzyme.

Withaniasomnifera (Ashwaganda) belonging to the family solanaceae is the subject of our present study. Withanoloides which are the major chemical constituents have been proved of interest because of their structural variations in the hybrids of different races. Docking is the process which brings the two structures together. In the present study we focus the extensive use of tool and grap...

Spike protein of SARS-CoV stimulates cyclooxygenase-2 expression via both calcium-dependent and calcium-independent protein kinase C pathways.

We have previously shown that the nucleocapsid protein of SARS-associated coronavirus (SARS-CoV) activated cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) expression. In this study, we identified another viral protein, the spike of SARS-CoV, which played an important role in virus-stimulated COX-2 expression after screening all genes from the SARS-CoV genome. We found that an upstream calcium-dependent PKC isozyme PK...
